THE BIG QUESTION
How can we design
a future-ready play school?
Open Interactive Playschool
Creating a school that is able to bring in outside world experiences inside, an experience which can combine ‘Real world discovery + Interactivity’.
Context
OI playschools were created by Oakridge school. While working on the brand design of Oakridge school, Idiom identified a key business insight – distance from home is a major hurdle for any parent while choosing a school, however, once enrolled, most parents don’t end up changing their child’s school. Hence, for a new school like Oakridge to work, which also happened to be outside the main city, it was important to create a feeder school. Hence the need for OI playschools was clear.
Key Insight
Outside real world experiences are much more richer in learning for a young child. The idea therefore was to create a school that is able to bring in outside world experiences inside, an experience which can combine ‘Real world discovery + Interactivity’.

A simple brand name which is an abbreviation for both ‘Open Interactive’ as well as ‘Oakridge International’. A fun yet solid identity represents interaction and fun.
